Diagnostic Test
Due to her distended stomach, there is some concern that Shea may have some intestinal or bowel damage. The doctor has requested a dpl (if have a strong stomach for medical pictures and want to know more about the procedure go to http://www.emedicine.com/radio/topic89.htm).
The results of this test will determine the need for abdominal surgery.
We will let you know when the results are in.
Prayers are appreciated.

The test is under way now.
Shea,
I remember when you were born, and what a beautiful baby you were, lying in your bassinette there in the hospital. I recall that you looked about three months old already, and ready for anything. All the years since have only served to reveal the many ways in which your inner loveliness is all that could overshadow your outer beauty, and we're blessed to call you our friend. Know that our prayers for you during this time are constant, and that thoughts of you fill our time. You are a gift, as those who know you, as well as those around you now learning this, will agree. God has his all-powerful arms around you right now, and won't let you go...
Love always,
Hayes
Lauren Shea and family,
We are praying to our all-powerful God for you! I've forwarded this blog address to my family so they can keep up to date and be in prayer as well. May God's peace that passes all understanding be upon you and your family at this time.
In His hands,
Brian
Shea, You and your family are being upheld in prayer before our wonderful, loving, all-powerful and merciful God. We anticipate His answers! Love,
Betty Anne
Lauren Shea,
When we heard the news of your accident we immediately began to pray (through the tears)for you and your family. We have not stopped praying for you.
I remember when you were about 2 years old and I took you on a little "field trip" at Grandpa and Grandma's house just you and me. I was only 12 at the time but I remember how sweet you were and how I enjoyed watching over you. On this little outing I turned my back for just a second and you found your way right into a cactus growing in someone's yard! I remember feeling so bad and not wanting to tell your mom what had happened. The other day I was walking with Emma (she's almost 2 now and alot like you were). The same thing happened with the cactus and I had flashbacks of when I used to watch over you. Now God is watching over you and I am confident that He will bring you through, only to be stronger. We love you and look forward to the next time we see each other.
Love,
Jonathan, Melissa, Emma, and Johnny
