Shea:
I always knew that I would be proud for Madison and Sydney to look up to you and once again you have proven me right! You are the fighter in life that I pray they will be.
Madison missed you so much tonight. She told me that she knew what it meant in the Bible when it said "Jesus was troubled in Spirit." She can't wait to come see you and catch you up on Fifth grade! Her entire elementary school at Greater Atlanta prayed for you in Chapel this morning! Sydney's class has drawn pictures for you - you'll love the sweet drawings. Sydney's picture is of the two of you swinging in our backyard.
We adore you Shea. You are shining like a star right now. There are no walls that can hold in your glow.
Loving you!

You have such a sweet spirit andI know that God will do a mighty work in you and you will go on to do great things for Him. We love you so much and we pray for you constantly. Love,Craig and Carolyn

Our precious Lauren Shea,
You are such a joy to everyone who comes into contact with you! Mr. Evans and I have missed watching you and Luke grow up, but think of you and pray for you often, and always with joy. You have such a sweet spirit. Fight hard, baby girl, we love you and know that God has great plans to prosper and bless you! One of the Kindergarten songs we used to sing had these words, "Thou God seest Me, Thou God, seest me. When I wake or when I sleep, Thou God seest me." I know He sees you now and is watching over you, helping you to heal. We love you! Leonard and Brenda Evans

Shea,

We're praying so hard for you.

We miss you and your family so much. I can't tell you how many happy memories I have of you guys. I can still see the funny couches that got spray painted a different color every year or so. When we'd get in trouble at school, we'd always cross our fingers that we'd get to talk to your dad when we got sent to the office because he was the nice principal. Vangie still talks about how your mom is the kindest person she knows.

Hang in there girl, you've got a great God who loves you so much.

Love and all my prayers,

Dearest Loved ones:

"When we come to the end of our horded resources, our Father's full giving has only begun.

Shea,

I just met you last week at Junior High Youth, it was the afternoon of the day you sang "I surrender all" in the morning worship service. It was absolutely beautiful, and so are you. My husband and I just moved here from Oklahoma and we could tell right away that you are such a special person and a great example to all those junior high kids. They are praying big prayers for you right now along with the rest of the entire church body. You can do this, hang in there. And remember. . . God is Good all the time and all the time God is Good!

Dear Shea, Susan, Steve, Luke and Jesse:

When I first heard of your accident I thought "this just can't be." Then I talked with some of the people at The Bridge and how God is working through this terrible tragedy. He is truly in control and each day is working a miracle in your life. I've never met you or Luke or Jesse, but have met your Mother and Father. Your Mother has had a tremendous impact on my life. Each Sunday when your Father leads the Worship Team, and you sing and your brother plays guitar, I beautiful peace comes over me. Shea, God has blessed you with a loving family and friends, and people who don't know you, love you. I'm praying for your complete and miraculous recovery. I'm praying God will keep his arms wrapped around you during your recovery and that His love will shine through you.

God Bless You All

Hi Shea:

You won't recognize my family's name but your Dad and Mom will. Even though you were just a little one the last time I saw you, you can be sure that you are in our hearts and prayers. I've been reading the messages so many of your friends have posted and I am just thrilled to catch a glimpse of the work the Lord's been doing through you and your family.

More and more I understand that God hasn't called us to an easy life, but to an unimaginably glorious future. I know that as you carry this heavy burden, you are The Father's special servant encouraging all of us to hold tightly to our future hope. I pray that your spirit and determination will even help others to find Hope for the first time!

We look forward to seeing you and hearing you sing very soon! You too Steve, Susan, Luke, and Jesse!

Lauren Shea Hickok,
I was involved in a terrible accident 22 years ago. The power of prayer, a loving family, talented medical personnel, and our faith in the Lord helped me/us through an extremely difficult chapter of my/our life. I am praying, and have asked others to pray, that the same miracle will come to light for you. May God hold you in his care.

Jesus is our friend
He's helped us
Time and time again
To make decisions
Too tough to make alone
He gets us through the hard times
And shares the happy ones

Jesus is our friend
He always has a helping hand to lend
No hill is too high to climb
No valley too wide to leap
We follow his word because we know
Of the harvest we will reap

Jesus is our Lord
With Him we sing
In one accord
The faith we have in Him
We have known for oh so long
The strength we have through him
Keeps us oh so strong

Jesus is our Lord
For Him we thank our Father up above.

Dear Shea,
Karine and haven't stopped thinking about you and your family. I know you're going to get better because you have so much to do. Your brother Luke is quite a man, he's amazing! You will be infinitely more proud of him soon. I know you love him and he loves you... but I think he needs to hear it from you. So work hard to get better and tell him he's your hero. Your Mom needs you too. You might not be able to help her much physically but but with Christmas coming she needs you to remind her of what needs to get done for the family. And your Dad gets kinda crazy at holiday time so he needs someone to keep him in line -- and I think you do that well.
Jesse adores you and he needs his big sister.

I know you can do this and God is going to lift you up. You have thousands and thousands of cheerleaders who are also petitioning God, and we're all standing with you and your family.

Hope to hear from you soon...DB

Dear Shea,

We all have been praying for you continuously. We praise the Lord for the miracles he has already performed in you. We continue to pray for you, your family, and for the doctors that they will have wisdom in treating you. The Bible says that God uses all things for good, and we continue to strongly believe that this accident was for a reason, even if we don't see the reason right now. We pray that God will use your recovery as a testimony of His greatness and His power. We give him all the glory.

Susan, I know you are a strong woman and are a beautiful example to so many mothers. My heart cries for what you are going through.

Luke, you rock! You saved your sister! You are in my prayers as well.

You don't know me personally but we are sisters in Christ. I attend Scottsdale Bible Church and wanted you to know that I have been faithfully praying for your recovery...I am praying that the Lord would go before you, that He would be with you and that He would not leave you nor forsake you. He is the shepherd who guides, the One who provides, the Voice who brings peace and the Physician who heals the sick. I do pray that He would bring about a complete healing in your life.

Steve & Susan,
I can only imagine the anxiety and worry that wants to swallow you up during this difficult time. "Remain calm; the Lord will fight for you" (Exod 14:14). Max Lucado writes, "His job is to fight, our job is to trust. Just trust...not direct or question but to pray and wait. He is our defender!" I do pray that God would remind you that He is in control.

May God bless you and keep you,

Shea, we are friends of Chris & Kelly - our prayers are with you and your families as we lift up the power of our Lord to heal you miraculously and completely, beyond what our fabulous physicians can do. With four children ourselves, we worry each and every day for their safety and well being, but it is comforting to know that our God cares just as intimately for all his little lambs every single day. What we send to you are prayers and encouragement cuz it is obvious so many love and care for you. Remember to corral that love and get strong in your travels back to everyday life.

Susan, Steve and Shea,
We are so encouraged by every report we read. Steve, Chip said you were praying God would use the accident in a powerful way Sunday morning. I can tell you your prayers were answered. The veneer was stripped away. We were met with the reality of life. It was one of the most memorable worship services I have ever experienced. God was so present. To see Him loved, worshipped and adored in the midst of the most unimaginable difficulty was so precious. I can't imagine the impact it had on those there who don't know Him. I would say they saw genuine commitment to our Heavenly Father exhibited in a beautiful way. He did immeasurably more than all you could have asked or imagined. Thank you for thinking of others in the midst of your very dark night!

But, praise His holy name, He has also done immeasurably more than the doctors could imagine!!! We are so blessed by every report. I know the road is still long, but the fantastic news is YOU'RE STILL ON THE ROAD!!!!

We are praying!

Good Morning, Shea!
As I am praying for you this morning a really cool thought came to mind. You know how Psalm 139 says God knit us together in our Mother's womb? It struck me that He is knitting you back together in front of the world! Oh what a blessing you are to this fallen world!
I am praying today will be even better than yesterday!
Hugs and Love to you, your mom and dad, Luke and especially Jess. I miss our little buddy!

Hey Susan, Payton, Parker and I want to come see you guys on Friday. Does that work for you guys? No problem if you need more time.

We believe that God has a purpose and plan for every life and his purpose and plan for you is not yet fulfilled. He will be glorified thru your healing and recovery. We will not believe man's report because it is so very limited but we will believe God's report - ask anything in Jesus's name and it will be yours: Father, in the name of Jesus we claim the total and complete healings for Luke and Lauren. That Father you have nothing but the best for these young people and we ask for your healing, provision, protect and guidance. Father, we ask that you continue to heal, provide and protect Luke and Lauren in Jesus name we pray.

Dear Shea,

We are so grateful for every bit of good news we hear about your recovery. Somehow, it seemed like you'd have to pull through just because of who you are: bright, strong and positive with a big personality and an even bigger heart. You've always been so wonderful at taking care of other people, so we're pleased to hear you're getting the best care possible. We may not be in Georgia (though we'd like to be) but our thoughts, prayers and most importantly our hearts are with you.

Dear Shea and Hickok family,

My name is Amy Stutes and I live here in Macon, GA. Joe and Cynthia Taylor, from your church in Scottsdale, are my aunt and uncle. They informed me of your tragedy yesterday. I am so sorry to hear about such a terrible accident, but am thankful to hear how God's hand is working miracles in your recovery. Please know that you and your doctors are in my prayers. I am a member, and I work at, Ingleside Baptist Church here in Macon. We have incluided you on our prayer list so that you, your family and doctors will be lifted up to the Lord. I know that you and your family are fairly new to Georgia, and especially Macon. Please know that if there is anything that my husband or I , or my church can do for you, your family or visiting friends please do not hesitate to ask. I can be reached anytime at 478-390-2116. If you or your family needs a place to stay, a homecooked meal or a temporary church home please ask and you will receive. My prayers and blessing to all of you.

May God bless you,
Amy Stutes

Dear Shea,
I went to Chaparral with you and sat at your lunch table for my whole Junior year with you, Clodette and Jillian. Although I do now know you very well, I remember you as being a gorgeous, sweet and caring girl. I sincerely hope that your recovery comes as quick and painless as possible. It takes alot of courage and bravery for someone to recover from what you have been through as you have so far. You have my prayers and all of our hearts with you here in Scottsdale sweetheart. Best Wishes.. You are an inspiration to us all.... XOXO Kelly Mainini

To Shea and Steve and Susan, I know Shea that you will recover, you are where you are suppose to be. Susan when she feels frustrated hold her and talk to her, she understands. My Mother has severe Grand Mal seizures and I am going back and forth to Minn. from Az. the Drs. think that I am talking her to death. On the contrary when she comes out of them she remembers me and my voice. Shea you stay strong, God is with you and when you sing again I shall get on a plane and come hear you. You have the voice and heart of an Angel. If ever you need support please don't hestitate to contact me, I am a plane ride away. Shea, go slow and steady and constant, you will make it my pretty little angel. I love you. My love to the whole family and condolences to Mike and his family. I am with you. I feel the pain. I sang in the pm choir at Scottsdale Bible Church, I was always sick, Shea might remember my son Christopher Shekels. I shall write again, be strong, I am going to hear you sing and dance one day soon. God walks with you.
Love Lauralee L. Shekels
