One more success

We just saw Shea... And for the first time we can see her face without all of the tubes and tape.

The doctors say she went through the procedure well, and there were no complications.

Hello sweet Shea! It is so exciting to hear that you are doing so well! I was telling some coworkers about you and the miracle that God has done in you today when I was working at the hospital here in Flagstaff and they were amazed to hear your story! You are such a miracle and it is so incredible to hear about all that God is doing in you! I wanted to share a verse with you that I came across today...it's so simple and yet so powerful:

"Heal me, O Lord and I will be healed. Save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise."
-Jeremiah 17:14

God is the one who is healing you, Shea and I know that the work He's started in you will be "carried to completion" (Phil. 1:6)! Keep on praising Him! I love you and I'm praying for you sweetie!

Love,

Lauren,

As we all wait and pray, be encouraged by an excerpt from Faith's Checkbook by C.H. Spurgeon:

Know How to Wait

He that believeth shall not make haste. (Isaiah 28:16)

He shall make haste to keep the Lord's commandments; but he shall not make haste in any impatient or improper sense.
He shall not haste to run away, for he shall not be overcome with the fear which causes panic. When others are flying hither and thither as if their wits had failed them, the believer shall be quiet, calm, and deliberate, and so shall be able to act wisely in the hour of trial.

He shall not haste in his expectations, craving his good things at once and on the spot, but he will wait God's time. Some are in a desperate hurry to have the bird in the hand, for they regard the Lord's promise as a bird in the bush, not likely to be theirs. Believers know how to wait. .

He shall not haste by plunging into wrong or questionable action. Unbelief must be doing something, and thus it works its own undoing; but faith makes no more haste than good speed, and thus it is not forced to go back sorrowfully by the way which it followed heedlessly.

How is it with me? Am I believing, and am I therefore keeping to the believer's pace, which is walking with God? Peace, fluttering spirit! Oh, rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him! Heart, see that thou do this at once!

you're on our prayer list, and it isn't just a list. every saturday night at 10 o'clock we go to the church and pray with true hearts. you're part of the movement. we have seen so many amazing things through our prayer and I know you're going to be one of them.
19"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18. There is definitely more than two people praying the same thing for you right now with the same heart, I know He hears us and I know you'll be okay. - mel, poplar springs baptist

Shea,
Another day, another wonderful report. I'm happy for you to have gotten rid of that ET tube! One step closer to singing! I'm praying for your surgical team and for everyone that takes care of you. God is doing something so great in you! What a privilege to be a witness to such an awesome work. So I praise Him for the internet, too.

Have a good night and a good day tomorrow.

Steve and Susan,
I'll bet that was a most beautiful sight! I'm praising God over and over for His healing and thanking Him for His provision of such great medical professionals. I'm glad the trach tube procedure went well. I will be praying for a wonderful outcome for the surgery on Friday. I'm praying for both of you to be strengthened in body and spirit. Love, Betty Anne

Dearest Hickok Family, Please know that we will all be with you in prayer for the big surgery on Friday. I think you'll find that the 12 hours will seem like much less and that you'll have a wonderful sense of peace during surgery knowing the Great Physician is in charge. We've experienced this ourselves through Susie's longer surgeries (I think our longest has been about 10 hours).

Shea, we love the CD track that was posted! We can't wait to order the CD. Your love for Christ comes through so clearly. Thank you for helping us worship the Savior! He is using you in such a mighty way as we talk with Him about healing you. Even when we're sleeping, the Spirit awakens us to intercede for you. Praise the Lord for the miracles He's performing in your life!

Shea

You are such an amazing "humanoid"!

I thought I would check on your FABULOUS website once more today to see how the trach install went. Silly me. Why would I wonder...I mean...babe...we prayin' here...thousands are prayin' and telling the Lord how much we love you...why would I even wonder how He would respond to that? When we all pray together...God hears.

As I see it, there is so much momentum here...God wants to show you and all of us that He is Holy. He is Faithful. That He loves you and each of us. That it is His good pleasure to work amazing miracles and BE GLORIFIED!

You are destined to rise out of the ashes of this trial and be used by God in incredibly amazing ways! There can be no doubt about that. I am convinced. And it will be so magnificent and spectacular to see it happen.

Tonight I pray you are resting peacefully in God's healing arms. Resting in all the love so many are pouring out on you...

More virtual hugs from chilly Scottsdale...:>)
