Susan just came out from seeing Shea. They reduced her meds to check her responses and the doctor almost yelled "Shea, open your eyes!" With that, Shea opened her eyes slightly!

Happy Thanksgiving... we have much to be thankful for today. Shea, we are praying for you and continue to check in on your amazing progress. I know you are fighting and will be showing everyone the blessings and miracles of our Lord! Oh my!! I woke up this morining thinking of you all. I thought, "Oh Lord, how hard it would be to find thankfullness today." Yes, Shea is with us, and yes things could have been worse, but does'nt that sound like such a pat answer? I just prayed for God to touch your heart with true thankfulness in the midst of this storm. I checked the site numerous times and finally this beam of radiating light for your day. I praise God with you for his gentle touches today, and signs of encouragement. As a trauma/ICU nurse, I know you must remain guarded, but I am estactic with what I have read this morning. I will be on my knees at 1pm Phx. time. I am also glad to hear that you are able to get rest. I am just overwhelmed with what I have just read, and am so happy that God has allowed a glimpse of His miraculous healing.
We love you all so much. Byrd wants Luke to know that he is thinking of him. He enjoyed playing the guitar with him, and of course the kids are still praying for little Jesse.

It is indeed a Happy Thanksgiving! Great reports keep coming in. We continue to be amazed at what God has already done in your lives. (But why should we be surprised? He's the Lord God Almighty!)
The Lord has kept you all on our minds, and keeps us all on our kness, where we belong.
Shea: Keep strong in the Lord. He is doing a mighty work through you, and I'm sure He's not done! He has great plans for you. [Jeremiah 29:11 ~ "I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans for good and not for evil; to give you a future and a hope"]
Luke: Lean on Jesus for your continued healing and your strength. Keep close to mom & dad. They need all the support they can get right now, and so do you.
Steve, Susan, and Jesse: We are all encouraged! Know that your sweet Shea is lifted up before the Lord as never before!
Jones' family: We continue to pray for you and all the other kids involved as well. Take heart - God is still on the throne!

I am a stranger to you, but I have not stopped praying for you and your family. This morning I awoke to a strong urge to pray that you would open your eyes. I prayed with all my heart that your family would be filled with hope through a visible sign, and I prayed specifically for you to open your eyes. I believe that God assured me before my prayer that you would infact open your eyes! My brother showed me the update later and I could not believe it. Happy Thanksgiving darling. You are a strong fighter! May God continue to poor out his blessings on you and your family this day and the days to come. My family and I will continue to pray for you and yours.

I can't express how thankful I am that you both are alive. I don't want to pretend that things aren't hard still (Shea physically, Luke emotionally), but praise God for your lives. God is saving you guys for something special!
