Tuesday Night Report

"It's been a good day" was the way Susan described today.

Shea's temperature is normal and they have eliminated one blood pressure drug and reduced another.

The X-Ray of her lung that they took today is better than the one they took yesterday.

She has a new bed that is specifically designed to eliminate alot of the problems associated with long hospital stays.

Her stomach is less distended, and she seems to be tolerating the food being inserted directly into her intestine through the Gabriel Method (as mentioned in a previous post, Dr. Gabriel himself administered the procedure).

Luke was presented with Mike's guitar at the memorial service. Please continue to pray for Mike's family.

I am so grateful to be able to read this blog and keep up with the Hickok family. I love Shea so much. I used to tell her that she was better than anyone on American Idol and she just said that that contest wasn't for her. Well, she is my American Idol and I am so thankful to see the miracles that God is performing in her life. I am in constant prayer for her and Luke and Steve and Susan and Jesse. We are in Texas for Thanksgiving so we have asked lots of Texans to be praying for you all. Cooper loves Shea also and says hi. Much love to you all. Cynthia Taylor

Praise God for these miracles! This is Britt from Phoenix, and Colin, Kyle and I are praying for you, Shea! You are a beautiful reflection of God, and you are in His hands. We will pray for miracle after miracle with total confidence. Keep fighting and I pray that the words of everyone who love you and are praying for you give you comfort.

Susan--you are on my heart. I can just picture you privately singing to Shea, giving her everything you have. I am praying for strength and rest for both you and Steve. God will give you all the Momma and Daddy strength you need for Shea, Luke and Jesse. Please try to take care of yourselves.

Kyle is praying for you, Shea. The first thing he said when we were speaking of you was "Shea is so cool." He's right! So many people you may not even know or remember are praying for you and Luke because we see you the way God sees you--with love and compassion.

Thank you so much for the updates. We love you!

Britt, Colin and Kyle Boyse

Shea,

I just wanted to let you and your family know that we love you so much. You are constantly in our thoughts and in our prayers. We have passed your name along to our church here in Delaware and also John's parent's church, who also passed it along to a neighboring church. Many people who have never even met you, have been asking us about you and letting us know that they're praying for you. I know that God will use you as a testimony of His miraculous power, that He is the Great Physician and loves His children. You will be a witness to the unbeliever, and an encouragement to the believer.
We love you so much Shea, keep on fighting.

Dearest Hickock Family,
Though you are far from Arizona right now, you have never been closer in our hearts - we feel broken with you. We pray for an outpouring of God's miracles to turn fear to faith and to heal. We hurt for Luke and pray for him to sense God’s presence deeply in His life. We have cried with you, Susan and Steve, and so much want to rejoice with you through each miracle in Shea’s healing. May the Body of Christ in some mysterious way help to bear these heavy burdens.
We love you – Susan, Jeff, Jane and Kate Farrar

Hey Shea
It's Julia again. It's 12:22am on Wednesday morning, and I can't stop thinking about you. I constantly come to your site that David made for you just to see how many new people are posting. I've said you have hundreds of people praying for you, but I think I should change that to thousands of people-literally. You have about 260 posting at this time. These listings will keep you busy for quite some time. I'm so happy to hear how well you are doing. I told your mom last night that maybe later Drew can fly out to visit you even though we would all love to go. I pray that tomorrow brings more great news. Talk to you soon. Love Julia Forbes

My Dear Lauren Shea,

I am thinking of you and espescialy this morning!! I just know it will be a great day for you and your family!! You know why?
I opened the closet and the bag of jewels fell out. I am sure you remember coming to my house with Kati and playing dress up and wrapping yourself with all the jewelry you could manage to get on. You and Kati sat on the living room floor and sorted through the
treasures. We always had cookies and other good things to eat, in fact one night you and Kati stayed over night, it was loads of fun . I remember when you were born, I went to Craig and Carolyn's for dinner and I baked you and your Mom a peach pie and we took it to your house and saw you, (the new family.) and your Mom. You were so beautiful lying in bed together, you were the prettiest new baby girl I had ever seen.
I know you will heal and get well, I still have the jewels and I can still bake the cookies and pies and we will have a reunion.
I know you are in the Lords Hands and I will see you soon.
Much Love, Kati's Gramma Cass

Hickok family,

You are a treasure of riches untold. In the short time we've known you at the Bridge, we've seen you shine and are truly drawn to Christ in you.

Before this blog was set up, I commented to Bill, "If we love them this much after a year, just imagine how much their extended community of family and friends loves them!"

The posts on this log are a testimony of just how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ expressed through his body for you.

This entire Smith family is standing with you and for you in prayer. Jessie and Jana send "butterfly kisses" for Shea.

Much love, Lisa
