11:20 PM Friday: Lower Jaw is complete

It's 11:20 PM. Just got word from Susan. The mandible, the lower jaw, is complete. They're starting work on the orbit, the bone around the left eye.

We expect to get a call after that is complete but we may not be updating the blog until tomorrow morning.

Thanks for your prayers. Shea is being supported by the love of faith of so many!

Hi Hickoks! We had a small group game night tonight and made sure to lift up Shea, the doctors, and the whole family in our prayers. We were even checking here for updates while playing games. God is soooo good!!!! April Still was telling us how picky doctors are in the OR...how they have their set routines and music choices. They don't like to stray from their routines. It is awesome that the Doctor wanted to listen to Shea's music while operating!!!

Dear Sweet Hickoks...
We are in such awe of the constant miracles Dr. Jesus is performing in Macon! Yes, He is still the same healer and miracle worker today that he was 2000 years ago, and Shea is testament to it. We have been so humbled to watch his perfect love cancel out every fear and replace it with such powerful faith and courage. No doubt that operating room has the highest heavenly wattage it has ever seen! May our heavenly Father continue to cover you in His perfect peace, grace, and strength. We love you and are praying without ceasing!

Shea,
I am trying to stay up as late as I can just praying for you my sweet friend as you are being restored.
"I will not fear for You are with me; I will not be dismayed for You are my God. You will strengthen me and help me; You will uphold me with your righteous hand. For you are the Lord my God, who takes hold of my right hand and says to me " Do not fear, I will help you". Isaiah 41:10,13.
I love how we can just pray through Gods word when we do not have words of our own. Shea, God is stregthening you, upholding you, and holding your hand through this whole thing.
I just cant wait to hear your sweet voice and see your radiant smile. I love you and am praying faithfully for you Shea.
God is so good.

I just got home from a Christmas party and could not wait to check and see how your surgery was going. I was praying for you during my drive home. It is so amazing that the doctors are working on you right now- this late! Here are 2 prayers that I have read that remind me of you and your prayers for healing:

Father God, I thank You for creating me in Your image. I praise You that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I confess that You are the God that Heals, my Great Physician. I ask You to heal my body from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. I pray that you would regenerate every bone, joint, tendon, ligament, tissue, organ, and cell of my body. This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Father God, I thank You for sustaining me today. I thank You that You are made perfect in my weakness. Your grace is sufficient for me. I thank You that Your steadfast love never ceases and Your mercies are new every morning. You say in Your Word that mourning may come for a night, but the new day will bring gladness. Bless me with a healing nights's sleep. Restore unto me the joy of my salvation. Help me to stay on the path that leads to life.

It gives me chills and tears that the dr's are asking to hear your cd. I hope that your beautiful voice, given by God, inspires and encourages them. I cannot wait to have your cd, and I especially cannot wait for the day to hear your beautiful voice in church again. I hope that you, your family, the doctors and nurses can feel the army of the Lord's angels that are surrounding you right now. Rest well tomorrow, it has been a long day and night.
With love and lots of prayers, Marian Madden
