Thanks for the encouragement

Just a note to all of you... Susan says that when she goes home from the hospital she reads the blog and is strengthened and encouraged.

Good job, all of you.

Hi, Steve and Susan. Since I know you go home and read the comments, I'll write directly TO YOU!!! Hope you are getting rest. It seems very difficult to do with all you have going on with Shea. The notes that are posted each day are wonderful to read. We're praying each step of the way and hope Shea will soon be able to come out of the drugs and be more like herself and then be able to communicate. Karen can't wait to get home and read all the information. It's all been second hand so far. She said to make sure Shea knows she loves her and is praying for her, too. May the Lord continue to bless you.

Love, Linda Guthrie

Sweet Shea,
Rest in the arms of Jesus and the angels all around you. I pray the the Lord will give you a peaceful spirit, that you won't be afraid and fight what is going on around you. Shea you need that energy for healing. Darling, it has been such an honor to see and hear the miracles God is performing in your body. I am praying with confidence that you will have another positive day.

Susan, Steve, Jeanne,
My sweet friends. May the Holy Spirit allow you to do "things you could not do". As we learned in our latest study he can do that! Empty yourself each day/night and let that power flood into you. I pray for renewed energy and sprit for all of you. I remember when my father had his brain injury he would be very difficult sometimes like a two year old. We remember how exhausting that was!!! Remember to find humor where ever you can. It's medicine for the soul. Let me know if you need another set of arms, hands and feet.

Love,
Teresa Holman

Shea girl, keep fighting strong for the Lord, He has already used you so greatly. I can't wait to hug you and be able to see and talk to you again..I miss you so much. I love you, Sweet Shea.

Susan and Steve, you guys amaze me. I admire your guy's faith. I miss seeing your family at church. But, You guys are always in our prayers. I don't think there is a time I pray when Shea's name or your guys name isn't mentioned. I love you guys!

You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. Isaiah 26:3 (Amplified translation)

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
Romans 8:31-32

I am amazed at the miracle God is working in Shea's body. I was so touched to read of how compassionate her doctor is. God is renewing you in sweet little ways. Remember that he gives rest to the weary and he is faithful to carry you through this overwhelming time. Blessed be the name of the Lord, indeed! I read last week that if we can worry, then we already know how to meditate on God's word. Keep playing God's truth over and over in your mind. It is easy to be discouraged right now, but this too will pass. God's mercies are new every morning!

Lots of prayer and love,

Marian Madden

Susan and Steve,
It was so good to see Luke this weekend. All of the family needed to see and hug him - and through him we are hugging Shea and all of you.
The stars are really bright out at night these nights, and they are shining for Shea. God has his arms wrapped around her and is guiding her each and every moment of the day.
We love you guys and appreciate the phone calls you are taking time to make to us. Our hearts are still broken and will be for a long time, but we have hope with Shea's improvement and through our Faith in Jesus Christ.
Please know that we are in constant prayer for all of you.

Shea
Hope today is a wonderful day in Macon. Continue to improve I miss seeing you on Sunday mornings and can't wait to see your smiling face soon. I will continue to lift you up in my prayers.

Steve and Susan,
Pete and I miss you a bunch. Steve the music is wonderful but not the same without you, Luke and Seah. I am glad you are with your family and devote 24 hours to Shea's recovery. Susan all I can say is I need a hug. You always put a smile on my face when I see you on Sunday's. Hope to see you soon. My prayer is for all of you to continue to feel God's love and healing power. Stay strong and take care of yourselves.
Love and prayers, Phyllis Denicke

I can identify with Bo's comment. Although I only know Shea from the shampoo bowl, and I don't know her family at all, I, like Bo, have been posting her blog link all over town. Many folks are telling me about their prayers for her and how her story has touched their lives! Thank you, Steve and Susan, for allowing us the privilege of knowing your story and praying for your family. In Christ, Carolyn

Hi Shea,

Payton recently said, "you never know how important someone is to you until you don't get to see them". That's sort of how we all feel I think. In the short time you have been in Georgia you have made quite an impact on so many. And now God is using you to the world through your miraculous recovery.
I am sure what you are going through right now is more than you feel you can bear at times. We know God allows it to strengthen us, but it still stinks while you are going through it. That is a part of life most of us have to learn a little later than you. It's usually not so hard so young.
I don't want to sound so cliche', but it has to make you wonder what our Lord is preparing you for???
I can only imagine!

As His word says, there is a time for everything, a time for sorrow and a time for joy...Joy is on it's way, girl. Hang on, it is surely coming.

Your need has kept me on my knees more than anything ever has and I am grateful for that.

Love and Hugs,
Rhonda Polhill

Hey Susan-
Jeff Miller wants to bring Parker down to Macon and take Jess and Parker out one afternoon this week.
Will Wed, Thurs or Friday work? Jess can come back with them if he wants. I need some more Jess hugs.

Let me know.
Love-Rhonda

Dear Shea,
My first graders are going to a retirement center tomorrow to sing carols. One of our songs is "Happy Birthday, Jesus". I'll never forget how beautifully you sang that song for our Christmas program at Heart to Heart. My family and my little ones in class continue to hold your family up in prayer. Love ya! Mrs. Noland
