Saturday Night Conference Call
We will have a conference call tonight at 9:00 pm. What a day it will be when Shea can participate herself! Susan told me that when she told Shea this morning about all the people, many of whom Shea doesn't even know, who have been praying for her and posting on her blog, Shea said "What's a 'blog'?" She's baaaaaack!

I'm so glad that both Shea and Susan slept so well last night! The last two messages were so full of answered prayers!! I'm praying for a wonderful day for Shea and all of those gathered around her today. Thank you for sending us these messages. I am so happy to hear that you are speaking! i laughed so hard when i read the part where its like "its hard to think," ha i totally picture you saying that. anyway guess what?Sarah made one of those blankets that you made me one year for my birthday, remember those? with the little frilly things, they were like hawaiin print? i was like ahh i have one of those shea made it for me. Kay pointless story but it just made me think of how much i love you! Anyway uhh i have not talked to you in sooo long! its weird my friend. Alright well im at dutch girl right now but i thought i would leave you a little note because im just thinking about you i love you Lori! Hi Shea,
It's Sue, Rachel's mom in Phoenix. I can't tell you how happy I am that you are awake and talking. I know that there are so many confusing things that are in your head right now but that is normal and will clear up in time. You have such excellent care it sounds like. I was in the hospital in July and after all the medication I cried for 2 weeks just being so tired from healing and it was uncontrollable but it goes away. God is so very good and even the tears are part of His healing process. Rachel and Kacie are putting on a huge formal retirement party for someone from their highschool tonight so I am writing for her. She checks the "Shea story" every day and worries about you and prays for you always. Yes she and Kacie are still spending a good part of their life together. They were on the internet yesterday figuring out how much it will cost for tickets to Atlanta. They are just waiting for the right time to come see you. Can't wait to hear from you when you are up to it. We love you sweetie and will be continuing to pray for you quick and total healing to the glory of God. Sue Sunderland

I was listening to Christmas music today as I made Lefse (an Anderson Christmas tradition) with my daughter, Emma. There was a song basically making fun of American Christmas' and all the presents. I was reflecting on how true that is, and then I was thinking of what neat Christmas gifts the Hickok family (and the rest of us), get this year through Shea. Real gifts. Merry Christmas. Melissa
